8 years tomorrow was a day that changed everything - the day Hannah, my best friend’s daughter, got diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.

I’ll never forget turning up at their door and Beth opening the door on the phone to St George’s and being called in to discuss test results, obviously not a good sign.

I stayed and looked after Hannah and my son Isaac and waited not knowing what was coming next... then I didn’t know much about Rett Syndrome ... but now I do. I’ve watched Hannah’s incredible personality shine through over the last 8 years despite all the restrictions she faces, not being able to talk to us all and tell her parents when she is scared or in pain or unhappy, becoming less able to walk, moving from a buggy to a wheelchair. The list could go on. Research into Rett Syndrome has a real chance to make massive changes and hopefully cure Rett Syndrome. Reverse Rett fundraise for research and I know I’ve asked you my friends to sponsor me before but please let me ask you again, we can make a real difference, EVERY penny counts, help me help Hannah.
