We fund research into SMA to help find a cure and treatments

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On March 12th I will begin a 7 day climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, about 4,900 metres from its base to 5,895 metres above sea level. Mount Kilimanjaro is also the world's tallest freestanding mountain and I will be following the Machame Route, which is approximately 62 km/37 miles from gate to gate.

I will be raising money for the SMA Trust in memory of my friend's daughter, Amber Ivy Mills, who was born with this rare genetic disease and sadly passed away at only 6 months old.

SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) affects 1 in every 6,000 births and is currently incurable and often fatal. The SMA Trust is the only UK charity solely dedicated to funding research into a cure and treatments for SMA. You can find out more at www.smatrust.org.
