What better way to beat the post Christmas blues than to sign yourself up to a challenge and raise some money for charity while you are at it!
That's exactly what I did when I joined the R.E.D January challenge in support of the mental health charity, Mind! I will be running every day in January, yes 31 consecutive days, and hope that you will all get behind me and maybe even throw a little sponsorship my way.
Although I have completed a number of running events before, I have never asked for sponsorship. This charity is such a worthwhile cause and I am looking forward to raising awareness and support for mental health and promoting the positive effects that exercise can have on our minds and wellbeing. Having taken up running around 4 years ago, I know first hand what a positive impact being active can have.
The money raised will help to fund Mind's vital work to provide information and support to people experiencing mental health problems. I haven't set myself fundraising goal as I would just like to raise whatever I can, anything is better than nothing.
