Hello Hello!
Most of you will know that I am a member of the Burghfield Santa's. For those of you that don't know, the Burghfield Santa's are a group of dads from my village who run epic fund raising events for Thames Valley Air Ambulance. We have been raising money for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance for 13 Years!
This year has already seen us run our first ever Box Kart Bash which attracted thousands of spectators and raised £24,200 for charity!
This year has also seen the return of Burghfest, our annual Beer and Music Festival . 3000 people came and drank, 68 casks of beer, plus some mini kegs ( 4,830 pints), 51 boxes of cider (1,785 pints), 228 Bottles of wine, 251 bottles of Prosecco and an amazing 670 cans of fosters that were drunk between the 2 token Australians that were present. The event included 11 fabulous bands and was run by117 volunteers! We raised £20,500 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
On the 16th December 2017 we will be embarking on another Santa Cruise, the event that started it all off! We will be decorating our bicycles as reindeer, dressing as Santa's and cycling around the local villages (Burghfield, Mortimer and Theale) raising money for Air Ambulance. But not only will you have the spectacle of lots of cycling Santa's, the Thames Valley Air Ambulance will be visiting us at Auclum Green in Burghfield at 11:45am (providing they are not saving lives).
If you would like to keep the Air Ambulance in the sky so they can continue to save countless lives, please sponsor us.
Kind Regards
Geoff O'Brien
