A very good friend of mine (Toby) asked me to attempt this ludicrous challenge to raise money for Meningitis, a disease which has directly affected his family. I couldn't say no, even though I am currently a smoking, low functioning alcoholic (time to sort myself out !!). 

I have since learnt that Meningitis has also had a tragic affect on one member of the team who will also be doing this challenge with me. Lets just say I'm motivated to complete the course.
