Story
I’m taking part in "Football to Amsterdam", a two day, 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by the EFL and the League Managers Association. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It’s a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s two men during a football match. This is simply not acceptable but Prostate Cancer UK know that with your help we can turn it around. Time is against us but now is the time to take action, to make this a disease the next generation need not fear.
I have been inspired by my son's ex-cubs football coach who was diagnosed and treated successfully 3 years ago. He has been a prime mover in organising the St Albans City FC team to ride to Amsterdam and raise money for further research to make diagnosis and treatment even more effective.
Please consider sponsoring me so that I may reach my own personal target of raising £1000 towards Prostate Cancer UK.
