Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know I've been terrified of jumping since my first pony put me off jumping for life when I was 12.

Since getting Leo in April 2017 I've started jumping and we are really growing as a partnership - he has taught me so much and we are learning and gaining in confidence all the time.

I signed up for the Wobbleberry challenge (a Wobbleberry is defined as a wimpy middle aged rider ☺️) which involves competing in a one day event with three disciplines: dressage, showjumping and cross country. It really will push me well out of my comfort zone as the showjumps and the cross country jumps will all be 80cm, which is more than what I'm comfortable jumping at the moment.

The thought of it truly terrifies me but if I can do it and raise money for Hannah's amazing charity then it will all be worth it. It's going to require a lot of training and getting into shape, especially me, and I'm already working hard to prepare for the event which I hope to complete later on this year.

I'd be really grateful if you would support me in this challenge by donating whatever you can.

Update May 2019: So I didn’t get to complete my challenge last year - I was all entered in the event but was struck down with bad chest infection a week before. Looking back it wasn’t meant to be and I’m glad now as I now know we weren’t ready. This winter thanks to Maddy Moffet we have got loads of cross country practice under our belts and are so much more confident now. Jumping 80cm is now no longer quite so scary for me and I really feel we are ready to kick on and complete my challenge soon 👍🏼.
