Once again I am taking part In the Football 2 Amsterdam cycle challenge in June 2018. After a memorable first year, it was impossible not to sign up to it once again. I am also very pleased to have roped in my wife, Jodie, to share the experience.

We will cycle 146 miles over 2 days from the Olympic Velodrome in London to the Ajax Arena in Amsterdam.

Last years event was both a lot of fun and very humbling. Ironically some of the participants we met last year are unable to do the ride this time around because they have developed Prostate Cancer. 

Like many others, it’s a disease that needs to be stopped. A man over 50 in the UK dies every 45 minutes from this terrible condition. However, along the ride you also meet many people who have survived, benefiting from the help of the specialist nurses and clinical research events like this fund. The work these guys are doing is incredible, but it needs our help to continue.
