I'm back for another go at this great ride to Amsterdam. Last year when I signed up for the ride I didn't know anyone else who was doing it. By joining the Latics to Amsterdam team I soon got to know the people who I would be riding with, becoming good friends with them. The ride last year was very challenging especially the extra day from Wigan to Barnsley, but we all stuck together and helped each other along.
The atmosphere on the ride was brilliant, we were all a big family going on an adventure together. There were so many highlights, but the final day cycling from Rotterdam to Amsterdam was special, riding along the superb Dutch cycle lanes through some beautiful villages along the canals and waterways on the approach to Amsterdam.
I’m taking part in Football to Amsterdam, a two day, 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by the EFL and the League Managers Association.Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It’s a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s two men during a football match. This is simply not acceptable but Prostate Cancer UK know that with your help we can turn it around. Time is against us but now is the time to take action, to make this a disease the next generation need not fear.
