Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In the UK, 10 children are diagnosed with a brain tumour each week. 7 out of 10 children will now survive the disease – more than ever before. Two thirds of those who do survive are often left with disabilities  as a result of the tumour itself and the intensive treatments required to treat the disease. Brain tumours remain the biggest cancer killer of children and young adults.

Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre is crucial in seeking earlier methods of cancer detection, providing routes to better understand the complexities of brain tumours and to look for ways to make cancer treatments safer and more effective.

So, on September 24th, Tara and I have decided to run the Robin Hood half marathon with the University of Nottingham for raising money for Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre as part of LifeCycle 7.
