This Lent I'm taking on the Walk for Water Challenge. I'll be walking 10,000 steps a day for 40 days to raise money for CAFOD's work around the world. I am walking in solidarity with the people who walk up to 10 hours daily to collect clean water for themselves and their families and to raise the money to enable them to buy the essential resources to build the wells near their homes to keep them alive. Just £10 could buy a water container for a family, £40 provides enough water for a whole school and £200 could buy bikes for a team of of three water engineers to service water pumps in remote communities. Hence my target.
