So much has been taken away from kids since last year: graduations, final weeks of school, proms, and more. Schools are working hard to re-tool the classroom experience this year to keep kids safe and learning -- and you can help!
-Emma is starting 2nd grade and shes eager to be with her school friends again. Her mom, Rebeca, works in healthcare and she entrusted her only child to the Clubs for the end of 2020 school year and through the summer while shes been working on the front-lines of the pandemic. They are a single income household and Rebeca knows that school means lots of extra expenses. Not only does Emma need new uniforms shes growing every day! the school has asked for extra cleaning and safety supplies for the classrooms this year.
-Alexis has always excelled at math and science. In the Clubs, hes been able to participate in virtual engineering classes that are fueling his interest and talents. Hes going to be the first in his family to attend college and he has his sights set on Arizona State University. Alexis comes to the Club after school because he doesn't have internet at home. Its hard to complete his senior year papers on his cell phone. The Clubs Learning Lab has computers and Wi-Fi, and Alexis eats dinner with his younger sister every night here. Their mom works late to provide for them, and she knows they are safe in the Club - together.
-Sean loves to draw and paint and dreams of becoming a graphic designer. In the Club, Sean can spend extra time in the art room exploring and time on the computers learning how to develop his design skills. He also gets some extra time in for soccer, his best sport.
