Virtual Santa 2020

Due to Covid restrictions, Santa will not be touring this year. We want to continue our support for local good causes, like warm clothes for local school children. To do this, we need your support. Anything, large or small, will help. Thank you.

Story

Every year since 1986 Santa has toured the streets of Queensferry and Dalmeny with his Rotary helpers. Rotary Santa's sleigh has become an integral part of Christmas in the local community , loved by young and old. It also gives locals the opportunity to make a donation to Rotary. In 2019 we raised over £4000. Everything donated to Santa goes to help local causes. Funds are used to support many groups and individuals and an extensive youth programme.

Regrettably there will be no live Santa's sleigh this year due to COVID restrictions. Rotary Santa will still be around though! Maybe you saw our sleigh and Santa on the virtual Christmas in Queensferry light switch on? Facebook and YouTube will also have regular Santa messages and videos posted from early December until the big day .

While our emphasis at Christmas is to provide enjoyment for the children with Santa and his sleigh, we also need to raise funds to continue supporting recent projects like these :

Rotary Christmas Toy Box Initiative for children living in a refuge this Christmas

Warm winter clothes for kids at local primary schools

Food Banks donations made this year

So , with no sleigh collections this year we have set up this page and hope that you can help us reach our target of £1000 . Please give as much or as little as you can , every donation counts!

Thanks
